Chambal Resort - The Reception
The design concept draws inspiration from the Indian folktale The Wishing Tree, a story set in the desert where a man stumbles upon a magical tree that grants wishes. This story guided the vision for the reception area, a calm, welcoming space that also sparks imagination. Designed to offer a peaceful first impression for adults while remaining interactive and engaging for children, the space sets the tone for the journey ahead.

The design features a palette of soft neutrals, complemented by pops of muted red tones that echo the desert landscape where the story is set. The walls feature Zinc Textile’s Monazite woven wall covering that reflects the soft, flowing movement of desert sands, with subtle shimmers that catch the light like sun on dunes.
